Kevin Zhang is a composer whose work encompasses instrumental, vocal, electronic, and electro-acoustic concert music, along with field recordings, sound walks, site-specific installations, and interdisciplinary projects involving film, theater, and dance. His compositions have been presented internationally at the Darmstadt, Dian Red Kechil, MoxSonic, NUNC, Royaumont, and SEAMUS festivals, as well as the Electroacoustic Barn Dance, Puerto Rican Sound Art Fair, Qualcomm Institute’s IDEAS series, and the VU Symposium for Experimental, Electronic, and Improvised Music. He teaches composition, theory, and directs the New Music Ensemble at California State University, San Bernardino.
