Mason Moy is a composer, tubist, and bass trombonist based in Los Angeles, CA. He makes music exploring intersections between extended just intonation and free improvisation. As a composer, Mason has written for the Los Angeles Brass Alliance, theBABAOrchestra, and the James Madison University Wind Ensemble. Mason has performed with Wild Up, Monday Evening Concerts, the Other Minds Music Festival, and Synchromy. He has given premieres by Ellen Arkbro, and Sarah Davachi, and has commissioned pieces for solo tuba by Wolfgang von Schweinitz and Jack Herscowitz.
